We Agnostics and Freethinkers Convention in Santa Monica

I am pleased to share that as a member of We Agnostics – Calgary, I am able to attend the first ever We Agnostics and Freethinkers International AA Convention in Santa Monica, California. I have to say it has been incredibly validating and inspiring to sit in a room filled with close to three hundred other, agnostics, atheists and freethinkers, and to hear their messages of hope, strength and recovery. More than I did before, I understand deeply how important it is for a meeting like this to exist in every city.

In the meantime, AA Agnostica is providing a daily recap of the convention on their website, a great way to feel connected to this monumental occasion in the history of Alcoholics Anonymous. I’m particularly looking forward to our closing talk with Reverend Ward Ewing, former Class A trustee and Chairman of our General Service Board and supporter of the Agnostic AA. You can read more about him here.
